T.V. ...and our sound dilemma
We have some issues in our house when we are watching T.V. Jake likes the T.V. really low and I like to be able to hear what the people are saying. I don't want it to be LOUD. In fact, I think I have sensitive ears. When I go to the movies or watch TV with my sister, I think it is a tad bit too loud. Last year Paul & Linda bought us surround sound for Christmas. It is very cool. Unfortunately it isn't that useful to us because Jake won't turn up the TV!!! Seriously, I told him we are the only people who would own a surround sound and keep our volume so low. Only if you could be a fly on the wall.... This is a daily discussion. Today Jake decided to rearrange the speakers because he believes it has to do with their placement. Maybe the fact that he sits right by a speaker and I don't has something to do with it. I don't know. I can't tell you how many times I asked Jake, "what did they say???" and he says "I don't know." I just laugh. I like to do other things (like craft stuff) while we watch TV. If I didn't we could just use closed captioning and I could read the words.

I can totally relate to what you are saying! I love to do crafts too so it would make it hard to just use the closed captioning.
