Monday, Again????

I am not complaining about Monday. Monday isn't really ever that bad to me...especially since I don't have to go to work. I do need to clean my house and finish the laundry. We are leaving to go back to West Virginia for Thanksgiving on Wednesday A.M. or maybe even Tuesday evening...although that may be pushing it.

The week-end went by too quickly (as always). Friday night we had the ladies Melt Down. I am glad it is over. Jake & I have made a decision to leave that church. It hasn't been an easy one...although, looking back it should have been. We enjoyed the church and made a few friends there but in the end we feel like it is time to move on. The Bible does not say you have to go to one church your entire life. I am saddened by some of the fall-out of our decision but I feel good about the change. We found a new church. It is small but growing. It has only been a church for 2 years. The Pastor is actually leaving....he joined the Army to be a Chaplin. It seems to be really healthy. I am trying not to compare the two churches and I am fully aware "every church has their problems". I can deal with that. Part of me is like...Ahh...it is nice to just go to church and leave...no obligations....no commitments....no phone calls.....no emails. It is safe that way, you know. But the other part of me is like....I can't wait to jump in. We do plan to still attend our small group from the old church. We haven't been for a while but do plan to go again.

So there is the big news. I know some of you from the "old" church and I do hope you all keep in touch. I am not a bad person. And if you are concerned about why I am leaving just call me...we'll go have a cup of coffee. I'd prefer you do that rather than talk about me and get a second hand story (which at that point makes it gossip). Have a great day.....

Well put wifey. I also looking forward to our new church. I enjoyed our time at the old one. But we felt like it was time for us to move on. I guess our season was over there. Who knows how long we will attend the new church. God has us there for now and if He chooses for us to go else where then we will.

Hey yous...you need to attend church where ever you choose. Actually, you have the right. Everyone has different spiritual needs and you need to have those needs met so that you can grow in your spiritual walk with the Lord. Don't worry about the people who have a problem...it's their problem. As long as you are attending church and following the Lord...who gives a flip where you go. Kudos for being strong and making a decision with your husband and sticking to it. You and your family will benefit from this. Who know how many others you will be able to reach out to.

Love to you!

Maybe you should have your decision to leave your church between you, your husband and your pastor. I dont know why you feel the need to broadcast private things. Blogs should be fun and interesting! Yours seems to me very negative and always assuming that others are out to get you. Hopefully, you will take this and start writing more positive things!

I would like to comment on the last comment.....

A blog is someones own thoughts, feelings and ideas. It is not a place to kiss butt and make everyone happy. In America, we are allowed to have our own thoughts, feelings and ideas and we also are allowed to share them with whomever we choose, however we choose.

Leaving a public place is not a completely private matter. People will notice that a family has left and they will wonder why. Rather than be bombarded by rumors, this is an opportunity to share facts.

The fact that people are giving a certain family a hard time about changing churches, well, it's down right WRONG!

I happen to believe this blog to be very fun and interesting. It makes me laugh and it shares some useful information. Maybe your (the previous commentors) life is a bowl of cherries and always smells like roses....but not everyones is. People have negative things happen to them...some more than others. If sharing it and writing about it helps...who are we (you) to judge. As far as being concerned about others out to get her....well, you kinda proved that one huh.

If you feel that there is too much negative....then why do you read it and leave negative comments? Just curious.

We should all feel safe sharing life experiences....good and bad, without people judging us. Maybe these negative experiences could help someone else going through a similar situation.

Hello everyone....I wanted to make my own comment. It is funny 4 different people asked about comment #1 being deleted. Don't worry...it was a comment Jake posted but he had to make a grammatical correction. So...he deleted it and reposted his comment.

As for the third comment - I would just like to say that it is really easy to criticize when you are anonymous. Wouldn't we all be so bold. Either way, I found your comment to be judgemental and a little off base. I probably couldn't have said anything any better than comment #5 (Thank you for that by the way). My suggestion is that you quit reading my blog. I've said it before...if my "negativity" is not for you then don't read it.

I think that if people would just get to know you on a personal level and for the person you really are they would find that you are rarely negative even with all life has thrown at you. You obviously have your reasons for your decisions. I also think that as a church family we need to stick together and if one of us knows another has a problem or difficulty it is our responsiblility to try to help and not judge before know the facts. I thank you for being such a great friend to me and when I feel negative thank you for being positive, everyone could use a good true friend like you.

Sounds like we may have the same person commenting on our blogs....but only about the things they don't like and always anonymous....Hmmmm...makes me wonder...not really, but I LOVE the blog. It keeps me informed when I don't get to see you much and ALWAYS has something that makes me laugh. I've said it in my blog too, if you don't like what I have to say, dont' read my blog...if you feel the need to read it, leave your name if you want to comment, or else prepare for it to be deleted.
We'll have to get together for coffee sometime soon. I miss you and the kids! (and Jake, of course).

Jackie - It is actually a different person... Like I said earlier - it is easy to speak your mind when you "think" you are anonymous. I'll call you sometime.
